Whether it's a question about your account, your membership, or something in the app isn't working the way it should, email us and a real person will get back to you.
Common questions
How do invitations work?
You invite someone right from the app using their email. They'll get a link to create their Thoughtfully Profile, and they don't need to download the app or create an account to fill it out. It's that simple.
Does the person I'm inviting need an account?
Nope! They just open the link and fill out their profile. No app download, no sign-up required. If they later want to create their own Thoughtfully account to manage profiles for people they care about, they can do that too.
What's in a Thoughtfully Profile?
A lot! Important dates, activities and interests, personal style, favorite colors, values and causes, flowers, food and dining preferences, entertainment, music, wishlists, clothing and shoe sizes, ring sizes, registries, and more. It's a rich, personal picture, not just a list of things to buy.
Can profiles be updated?
Absolutely. Profiles can be updated anytime, so the information is always current. Tastes change, new interests develop, and wishlists evolve, Thoughtfully keeps up.
Who can see a Thoughtfully Profile?
Only the person who invited you and anyone they choose to share it with. Your profile is your information, you control what you share and who sees it.
What about privacy?
Your Thoughtfully Profile is only visible to the person who invited you (and anyone they explicitly share it with). We never sell your data, and you can update or remove your information at any time.
How many profiles can I have?
With the free plan, you get one Thoughtfully Profile and can invite one other person. With a paid membership, you can create and manage unlimited profiles for everyone you care about.
Is Thoughtfully free?
Yes! The app is free to download and includes one profile plus the ability to invite one other person. For unlimited profiles, membership is $2.99/month or $29.99/year. Or, if you're one of the first 5,000 paid members, you get Founding Member pricing: just $24/year, locked in for as long as you're a member, even as our regular price goes up.
Can I include wishlists and registries?
Yes! A Thoughtfully Profile includes space for wishlists and registries alongside everything else, interests, style, sizes, important dates, and more. It's a wishlist and so much more.
Does Thoughtfully keep track of important dates?
Yes! You can store birthdays, anniversaries, and other special dates in each Thoughtfully Profile, so they're always at your fingertips when you need them.
Does Thoughtfully recommend gifts for me?
No, and that's intentional. Thoughtfully gives you the insight; you bring the thought. We help you understand what someone loves, but the final choice is always yours. That's what makes a gift meaningful.
What is a Founding Member?
Founding Members are the first 5,000 people to join Thoughtfully with a paid membership. Their price is locked at $24/year, and it will never go up, even as our regular price increases. It's our way of saying thank you for believing in us early.
How much does membership cost?
Regular membership is $2.99/month or $29.99/year (our best value). Founding Members, the first 5,000 paid members, pay just $24/year instead, locked in for good.
When does my membership renew?
Annual memberships renew one year from your signup date. Monthly memberships renew each month. Founding Member memberships also renew yearly, always at the locked-in $24 price. You'll always know the price before you join, and you can cancel anytime.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time, and you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. No pressure, no hassle.
Does my Founding Member price ever go up?
No. Your $24/year price is locked in for as long as you stay a member, even as our regular price changes over time. It still renews each year like any subscription, just always at that same price.
